Description
Zirconium oxide is used as a catalyst carrier, diamond simulant, refractory material, pigment, abrasives and solid electrolyte in electrochromic devices. It acts as a precursor to the electroceramic lead zirconate titanate. It is also used in insulation, oxygen sensors, enamels and fuel cell. It finds application to make ceramic knives due to its hardness nature. It is utilized for dental restorations like crowns.
