Description
Used in manufacturing of photographic papers, engraving and lithography, in spectroscopy, and as an analytical lab reagent. Potassium bromide is applied as a veterinary drug, as an antiepileptic medication for dogs. It is utilized for the bromination of alkenes using cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate. It plays an essential role with diacetoxy iodobenzene for the efficient bromination of alkenes and alkynes.
