Description
Main commercial usage is in the production of fertilizers and reagent for nitration. It implies in the applications for the production of explosives, nylon precursors, and specialty organic compounds. Nitric acid indirectly used as an oxidizer in liquid-fueled rockets for determining trace level metals in solutions. It is used as a chemical doping agent for organic semiconductors, and in purification processes for raw carbon nanotubes, artificially age pine and maple.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
