Neodymium compounds are used in glass coloring, permanent magnets, capacitors, infrared filters, resonators, Catalysis (diene polymerization), laser materials. Neodymium(III) oxide is used to dope glass, including sunglasses, to make solid-state lasers, and to color glasses and enamels.
