Description
Lanthanum(III) chloride is useful as precursor for synthesis of aqueous sol-gel lanthanum phosphate nano rods,as a filter aid,an effective flocculent and precipitation phosphate. It is also used as a catalyst for the high pressure oxidative chlorination of methane to chloromethane and organic synthesis it acts as Lewis acid catalyst. It is used as a scintillator material and in Gamma Detectors.
