Diethyl phosphite used as intermediate for extraction agent and phosphoric acid esters. It is also used as solvent and acid acceptor in the synthesis of polypeptide. It is also used in the synthetic reaction. It is a precursor of phosphorous which is used for the synthesis of various organophosphorus compounds.
