Description
Cobalt(II,III) oxide is used in enamels, pigments, porcelain colorants, semiconductors, ceramics, catalysis, grinding wheels and other fields as an important inorganic material. It is a useful oxidant in chemical industry and as catalyst for organic synthesis. It is widely used as catalyst carrier and as electrode active material. It is also used in senior goggles, other filter materials, in temperature and gas sensors, in electronic ceramics, in lithium ion battery electrode materials, magnetic materials, electrochromic devices and solar energy absorbers.
