Description
Storage and reconstitution: The formulation of this antibody was updated from PBS with 0.02% thimerosal to PBS without thimerosal on 31/Mar/2024, any lots produced after this date will not contain thimerosal. Lot numbers greater than 2855945 will not have thimerosal. When stored desiccated at or below -20°C, the lyophilized powder is stable for at least one year. Reconstitute using 1 mL PBS, pH 7.2, to yield a 1 mg/mL stock solution with the addition of thimerosal to a final concentration of 0.02%. After reconstitution, we recommend storing solution at 2–8°C. For prolonged storage after reconstitution, add glycerol to a final concentration of 50% (v/v), aliquot, and store at or below -20°C. When stored properly, the solution is stable for approximately three months.
Anti-Rabbit secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for rabbit immunoglobulins and are useful in the detection, sorting or purification of its specified target. Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility enabling users to use many detection systems (e.g. HRP, AP, fluorescence). They can also provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Most commonly, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with a pooled population of immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified and modified (i.e. immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation, etc.) to generate highly specific reagents.Specifications
